Earlier this year I began contributing with images and writing to the fantastic publication, Green Magazine. Visiting Nina and Nigel Eberhardt at their innovative Turner’s Beach home was inspiring as saving the trees onsite was their first priority. They built the house around the trees, creating a home and garden that instantly felt established and, as the article suggested, is a little like camping at home. Nina and Nigel love plants – their adorable baby daughter is named Fern – and their home among the Gum Trees is a real triumph. Simply but beautifully designed (by Nigel) and liveable, it’s two wings demonstrate what can be achieved on a limited budget with thought to the site, aspect, design and materials. It was great to see it get a great run in Green Magazine.
