Roadtrip - Hobart to Strahan
Anyone who has got behind the wheel in Hobart and driven the 4 plus hour drive to Strahan on Tasmania’s west coast will be hard to shut up about how spectacular the journey is, if you get them onto the subject. I’m no different… so when QANTAS Travel Insider’s Vashti Cooper asked me to take the drive for the mag, I said sorry but I’m washing my hair! Ha, I was actually in the car before you could say Queenstown. Taking the drive in winter is all the more special for the prospect of snow as you pass over the mountains and into the World Heritage Area. Throw in some fantastic eateries along the way and it added up to a pretty special work trip over west.
